Appointment planning for patients from further away

In clear aligner treatment, aligners are given in sets covering several weeks and are changed at home. Patients usually come to the clinic for check-ups every 6–10 weeks. For patients coming from further-away districts such as Ümitköy, Çayyolu or Beytepe, check-up appointments can be planned around work or school hours. When booking, you can let us know if you would like longer appointments, such as records or aligner delivery, to fall at the weekend or outside working hours.

What to keep in mind during treatment

  • Follow your aligner change schedule; you do not need to come to the clinic to change aligners.
  • Try not to postpone check-ups; long gaps can mean that deviations from the plan are noticed late.
  • If you lose or break an aligner, contact us by phone or WhatsApp without waiting.

Frequently asked questions

How often do I need to come in for check-ups during treatment?

Check-ups are usually every 6–10 weeks; they may be more frequent at the start. At check-ups the fit of the aligners, whether the tooth movements follow the plan and your oral health are assessed, and the next sets of aligners are given.

I lost or broke my aligner. What should I do?

Let the clinic know as soon as possible. Depending on the situation, your orthodontist may advise you to keep wearing the previous aligner or move to the next one, or a new aligner may need to be made. Until it is decided what to do, having an aligner in your mouth if possible stops the teeth from shifting back.

How can I book an examination?

You can reach us by phone, WhatsApp or the examination request form. Once your request is received, a suitable day and time are arranged together. Our team speaks English.

Do I need to come in for check-ups very often from Ümitköy or Çayyolu?

In clear aligner treatment, check-ups are mostly every 6–10 weeks and aligner changes are done at home. So visits to the clinic are usually less frequent than with braces. Your orthodontist sets the check-up interval according to the needs of your case.
